MEET ASB

 ASB President

My name is Scott Sloop, I'm a senior, and I am your ASB President. Some fun facts about me is that I am part Japanese, I can tell you something interesting about every US President, and I want to work in the government/public service sector in the future. At BHS, I'm involved in Tennis, Model UN, our struggling Junior States of America Chapter (hmu to join!), Dragon Boat, and last year I brought a TEDx talk event to Beaverton. Outside of school I work at Chick-fil-a and sometimes coach little kids in Tennis through THPRD. I'd love to hear from you about your ideas and perspectives regarding our school and how we can make it a more welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable place where community connects us, learning transforms us, tradition unites us, and excellence inspires us. Hello, my name is Kiri Vogelsang and I am your ASB Vice President. I have nine pets, one of which is a goldfish I have had since I was in fourth grade. At Beaverton I am involved in football, track, and leadership! I can’t wait to work with the student body to make our school a better place!

My name is Malia! You’ve probably heard my voice on the announcements or seen me on Beaver Broadcast. I am a senior this year and your ASB Student Relations Coordinator. A fun fact about me is that I’m left handed and I have a puppy named Fred. I play lacrosse and volleyball and I am in NHS, leadership, and the marketing pathway.

Hi! My name is Lauren Ashe and I am your ASB Director of Elections. I am a senior and am so excited to represent Beaverton on a large level and bring the tradition back into BHS! A fun fact about me is that I play soccer and I love to travel! I can’t wait to bring back the school spirit that Beaverton is so known for.

Hi! My name is Juliana, and I am a sophomore at BHS. At beaverton I am a part of Cheerleading, Key Club, Club Hope, Cia science club. In my free time I enjoy going out with my friends, watching my favorite tv shows, and drinking chai lattes. Go beavs!

Hi, I’m Kyle Hanson! I’m a sophomore and serving as your ASB Community Service Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year. At BHS, I’m involved in Key Club, Club Hope, CIA Science, Eco Club, MESA, and Beavertronics. I love doing escape rooms and cooking!

As your ASB School Board representative, I will work to bring your perspective to district leadership (including superintendent Grotting). Together, let's make change! Outside of leadership, I enjoy reading. My favorite book is Beloved by Toni Morrison. As the founder of the Hummer Newspaper club, I edit and write articles. I am also in Best Buddies, a club fostering friendship! I love matcha and Trader Joe’s. Go Beavers,
